ANALOGIC TECH
ABOUT US

AnalogicTech is committed to achieving product excellence through disruptive innovation and technology creation; expert analog product design, development, test and characterization; creative high-volume packaging; and carefully managed outsourcing, world-class operations, and designed-in quality throughout. Supplying customers with their Total Power Management needs begins with a focused understanding of power applications and continues with our ability to service our customers throughout a product's life cycle.

Innovation, creativity, service, quality, vision, and understanding start with people: the staff of AnalogicTech. Our employees comprise a proverbial "who's who" list in modern power semiconductor electronics; veterans and experts in power MOSFETs, DC/DC conversion, analog IC design, process engineering, packaging, etc. Employee demographics highlight a key technical core averaging over 10 years (per person) of experience in power semiconductors, with an inordinate number of positions -- from marketing to operations -- filled by employees with an undergraduate education in electrical engineering.

In technology development and creation, we employ device physicists, process engineers, CAD mask designers, and electronic technicians to develop new devices, processes, and methods and to characterize the resulting device arsenals for use or sale. AnalogicTech pioneered the concept of installing our own processes in ex-DRAM (memory) sub-micron wafer fabs, redefining foundry supply relationships into symbiotic manufacturing partnerships. Though we are a "fabless" semiconductor company, AnalogicTech's process engineers actually reside in our suppliers' fabs and work side-by-side with our suppliers. The creation of intellectual property portfolios remains a special talent of our technology team, with a proven track record of patents and technical know-how.

In IC product design and development, our circuit designers are experts in analog IC design methods, many of them coming from years of experience in switch mode power supplies, linear regulators, voltage references, along with switched capacitor and other mixed-signal techniques. Areas of specialized know-how include high frequency conversion, low-noise operation, light load efficiency, and analog functionality with NanoPower-level quiescent currents. Our IC and CAD mask designers, familiar with bipolar, MOSFET, and power DMOS transistors, are experienced in developing products in analog CMOS, mixed-signal BiCMOS, and fully-isolated BCD technologies.

AnalogicTech has also demonstrated many breakthroughs in discrete power devices using our proprietary TrenchDMOS developments. Our discrete power MOSFET designers mix knowledge of device physics and process technology with device layout, 3D effects, packaging, and design automation. Using automation, a power MOSFET can be designed and ready for mask making in roughly eight seconds using only PC-based software. The interaction between silicon layout and package design is also a special skill of our staff. Together with GEM Services, our product and packaging engineering staff is responsible for the co-development of the JW-type package, an area-efficient package receiving rapid acceptance and rave accolades in the portable personal electronics market.

To complete the product development of Total Power Management solutions, product engineering, packaging, and test engineering at AnalogicTech focus on characterizing, packaging, and testing analog power management ICs and power TrenchDMOS for a thorough understanding of a component's behavior under conditions similar to its actual application. The team then optimizes test time, yield, trimming, and parametric performance for low-cost, high-volume manufacturing. Central applications, verifies the component's performance in real-world applications, while product engineering, QA, and reliability engineering complete the burn-in and full qualification release. The skills of the "backend" operations and engineering team at AnalogicTech are superbly matched with the need for competitive and rapid time to market.

Finally, our veteran staff in marketing drives the company toward our newest product definitions, while our worldwide sales teams -- distributed regionally throughout Korea, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Japan, the U.S., and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) -- promote our products for sale through a process known as a "design win," the antithesis of catalog product sales. To support a myriad of design-in activities, each sales team is comprised of a veteran technical sales director (country manager), one or more highly technical FAEs (field application engineers), and local customer service support.

Marketing communications (marcom), finance, accounting, operations logistics, and IT support AnalogicTech's business development and business enterprise activities through internal services, including supplying world-class data sheets (and collateral material) to sales, financial ROI analysis to marketing and corporate groups, and deploying (and maintaining) AnalogicTech's own worldwide VPN-enabled ERP system for seamless global scheduling, logistics, and billing activities.
